Curaçao is proud to introduce its new currency, the Caribbean Guilder, on March 31, 2025. The series includes five beautifully designed banknotes and seven coins. The new banknotes pay tribute to the vibrant underwater life surrounding the islands.
Visiting Curaçao and still have some Antillean Guilders? No worries! You can use them for payments until July 1, 2025. Businesses, including shops and supermarkets, may accept them until March 2026, though they are not required to do so.
As a tourist, you can easily exchange your Antillean Guilders at the Central Bank—no account or appointment needed. Just bring your banknotes, passport, and flight ticket.
