You’ve probably heard the news: Curaçao is heading to the World Cup! For the very first time, this small island is making it to the global stage—a truly remarkable achievement considering its small population. Naturally, we are all incredibly proud of this milestone!
But did you know Curaçao has also been making headlines for another world record? That’s right! CASHA (an association for small local tourism entrepreneurs) and Travel2Curaçao organized a world record attempt for the most people playing dominoes underwater at Grote Knip beach. On April 20, 2024, 138 divers played dominoes underwater for 23 minutes, shattering the previous record of 60 divers playing for 10 minutes in a pool. And above water, a large domino tournament added to the excitement!
