Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you! At Dive Center Scuba Do we offer this program just off the beach, where our qualified instructors will teach you basic safety guidelines, show you how to properly set-up your dive gear and after some underwater exercises and getting used to breathing underwater, will show you around the house reef during your first dive ever!
While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. After this dive, you’ll receive a certificate that is valid for two weeks. This time will enable you to make your introduction dive count as the first lesson for your Open Water course, if you decide to continue with an Open Water course or go on another accompanied dive (repeat discover scuba diver).
PADI Junior Open Water Diver – $505
8.30am – 5pm3 Days
The open water course is a fun course where you not only learn to explore the beautiful underwater world but are also trained to recognize and solve problems yourself. With the PADI open water certification you can dive anywhere in the world without an instructor.
The course consists of theory, five skill sessions and four open water dives.
We do the five skill sessions in our house reef Bari Reef. The skills all focus on becoming comfortable in the water and with the gear and recognizing and solving problems. For example, you learn how to blow water out of your mask when it leaks, we simulate an out-of-air situation, etc.
The four open water dives focus on applying the learned skills in an open water situation. In addition, during these dives we will mainly enjoy the beautiful underwater world. Our instructors have a trained eye to spot the most beautiful underwater creatures for you. The first 3 open water dives will be on our house reef and the last one, we will go to another place on the island with our bus if possible.
PADI Advanced Open Water – $470
8.30am – 5pm2 days – 5 dives
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course will help you gain more experience, build your scuba skills and increase your confidence underwater. You do five different dives all under the expert guidance of your dive instructor. The fun part is that you get to choose the specialties yourself! At Dive Center Scuba Do we offer: wreck diving, night diving, drift diving, sidemount diving, enriched air diving (Nitrox), peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery, diver propulsion vehicle, underwater naturalist and more.
With professional guidance from your dive instructor, you will be able to add new and special experiences to your logbook, no matter which of the above specialties you choose. Through self-study from the course book, you will learn the theory for the specialties that you select. Before the dives, you will attend theory classes with your dive instructor and go over the course questions.
